Allah’s Names in Divine Books | Javed Ahmad Ghamidi

Allah has told His name as Allah in the Holy Quran. But
His name in the previous divine books is different. Why? Allah did not associate any name to Himself.
Arabs would call him Allah and He adopted it. It is only a misconception and
should be removed immediately. The name ascribed to Allah by each
nation was adopted in the divine books. The Arabs would use the word Allah
for God which He adopted for Himself. In the previous book, the word EEL has been used
because in Hebrew, this name was ascribed to Allah. The suffix EEL in the words Ismael
and Jibreel are refers to Allah. Thus in Hebrew, Israel means
Abdullah, i.e. the servant of Allah. The name used by a nation was
adopted by Allah in all the divine books. The issue has been discussed in the Holy Quran. When asked about the names of Allah, the Almighty replied
that any good name given by any nation will be acceptable to Him. Thus, Allah did not associate any name to Him.
