THE COLLEGE’S FOUNDING CAMPUS,TO BETTER SERVE THE
EDUCATIONAL NEEDS
OF THE CITY AND
THE REGION.
THE FRED W. BEAZLEY
PORTSMOUTH CAMPUS,
OPENED FOR CLASSES IN
SPRING 2010 AND
IS LOCATED IN THE CITY OF
PORTSMOUTH ON 35 ACRES.
TOTAL OF 183,000 SQUARE FEET,
THE PORTSMOUTH CAMPUS CONSISTS
OF THREE ACADEMIC AND
ADMINISTRATIVE BUILDINGS
WITH STATE OF THE
ART TECHNOLOGY,
INSTRUCTIONAL LABS AND
EQUIPMENT DESIGNED
TO PROVIDE A “LEARNING
CENTERED” ENVIRONMENT.
IN 2013-14 A NEW
STUDENT CENTER OPENED
ON THE CAMPUS AS WELL.THE PORTSMOUTH CAMPUS’S
SIGNATURE PROGRAMS INCLUDE
HVAC, WELDING AND
GRAPHIC DESIGN.
THE CAMPUS INCLUDES A
TRUCK DRIVING RANGE
AT THE WORKFORCE
SOLUTIONS CENTER.
THE BEAZLEY SCHOOL OF
NURSING IS ALSO LOCATED
ON THE PORTSMOUTH CAMPUS.THE TCC VISUAL ARTS CENTER,
PART OF TCC’S PORTSMOUTH
CAMPUS IS LOCATED IN
HISTORIC OLD TOWN PORTSMOUTH.
IT IS VIRGINIA’S FIRST
COMMUNITY COLLEGE CENTER
DEDICATED SOLELY TO THE ARTS
AND ART EDUCATION AND INCLUDES
A ROOFTOP GLASSBLOWING
STUDIO, CLASSROOM STUDIOS,
MAC LABORATORIES AND A
BOOKS AND IMAGES LIBRARY.
